Waste & recycling
Plastic trash in the oceans, microplastics in pristine lakes, landfills rapidly filling with trash… all of these are by-products of a throw-away society – and America’s fundamentally broken relationship with “stuff.” The alternative is a “zero waste” society – one in which we consume less stuff in total, products are designed to be durable and to be fixable when they break, and all products get recycled at the end of their lives.
